How many strands do you need for what? When used as a supplementary yarn: With one strand, you knit asmall scarf or hat. With two strands you knit a medium-sized shawl and with 3 strands you knit a large Cloth. For a sweater size 38 you need 3 strands. This yarn is ideal for lace work, used single or double stranded.
This is a hand dyed skein of wool, which means it is unique. If you want to knit several strands of one color, I recommend knitting two strands in alternating rows. This will give you a more even result.
